Big news has broken in the football world: Derrick Henry might be on the move. Right now, the rumor is that the Ravens are the favorite to take him on. Titans fans seem to be heartbroken, they also just lost Kevin Byard to the Eagles so it's been a tough week for the great people of Tennessee. If I were them though, I honestly wouldn't be too worried as far as the running game goes. I mean yeah, your team as a whole is playing like ass right now, but you have a future in the backfield with Tyjae Spears.
Tyjae Spears has not gotten the chance to show that he can shine. Given that of course Derrick Henry is currently there, so there really was no need to trade reps. If Henry is gone though, I am more than confident that Spears could carry the load for Tennessee. He's fast and shifty, giving a different running style to the team, but he looks real good out there breaking linebackers ankles. If this team is starting to rebuild around younger guys, Spears is a good start in my opinion.
Let's remember one thing as well. Derrick Henry is old for a running back. Titans fans can all reminisce on the beauty that King Henry brought to Tennessee throughout the years, but I think it's time to officially move on before the production slows down and everyone just gets sad. Tractorcito is and will always be known for being the dude to legitimately bulldoze and bully other grown ass men, and living in those glory days for too long will only lead to disappointment. The tide is changing, and it's time for Spears to take over and show the NFL what he's got.
