The Curious Case of Kirk Cousins: Why He Should Let Minnesota Trade Him

Kirk Cousins is in a really weird fuckin spot, man. He's performing at the top of his game, currently sitting at second in pass yards this season with 1,498, first in touchdowns with 13, and first in completions with 137. The dude is on fire. Yet, he is also one of the most common names being mentioned as a trade candidate. What the hell? Well, the Vikings are going to start rebuilding the roster here soon, and they're going to need some good picks/players to do it successfully. That leaves Kirk as the best bargaining tool in order to achieve that. He's 34 years old, yet is still playing at an elite level. Teams would offer up a lot for this man (I know I would) in order to squeeze the last ounces of football he has left. I think he should look at those offers and consider making one final stop on his NFL journey. Why? To win a Superbowl of course.

I genuinely do not believe the Vikings are winning a Superbowl anytime soon. It's not that I don't believe in Kevin O'Connell, I think he's great. They also have some top tier talent in the receiving corps with arguably the best in the league Justin Jefferson and a promising rookie in Jordan Addison. But their defense sucks ass. Like, it is not good AT ALL. The best performance they've had this year was against the fucking Panthers. That o-line has more holes than a whimsical sponge living in a fruit in the ocean. The running game is not great either. Mattison was a great back up, but has not been it when having to take a full game's load of carries. The cherry on top? Justin Jefferson just went on IR, so all offensive momentum could come to a screeching halt right now. Which would also be a perfect time to call a mulligan on the season and trade Kirk in order to start planning for the future early. Where should he go?

First off, he'll obviously want to go to a good team. Unfortunately, most of those good teams are good because they have a quarterback. So he'll have to find a team that is a QB away from a Superbowl. Obviously we're going to immediately think the Jets. Zach Wilson is still not good, and Kirk don't play with "making his life hell" shit. He'll pray Zach's ass all the way to the XFL. There's a sticky situation though with Rodgers looming still, getting healthy way too fast and wanting to play. Also, a lot of money. I don't think the Jets will cast a line. He could go to New England, where he could have an even more awkward relationship with Bill than he had with Mike Zimmer. Might work out, could also teach the other QB's how to play football! Or we have the Denver Broncos, but if I could put money on it I'd say that he'd essentially be in the exact same situation he's currently in with the Vikings, so he should stay away. Finally, we have another team in need of a QB and my personal choice for Kirk to go to: the fucking Tennessee Titans.

That's right, I didn't stutter. The Titans would be PERFECT for Kirk. Tannehill ain't gonna do what Kirk can do, sorry buddy. Vrabel is one of the best coaches in the NFL and can definitely use Kirk to the best of his abilities. Derrick Henry, still great and Tyjae Spears is already showing out so they got depth there. Nuke, Trey Burks and Westbrook-Ikhine? More than enough for Kirk to ball out with, easily. The defense is always going to compete, they're MIKE VRABEL'S FUCKING DEFENSE. Tennessee has the exact same nature that the midwest gives you, just with less snow. Minnesota is fucking cold, Kirk! Go get a house in them mountains! I see this as a no-brainer, but I also can be dumb as fuck so take it with a grain of salt.
