TNF Talk Week 7: Jags Are A Legit Team, Saints Offense Is Awful

I regretfully admit that the Jacksonville Jaguars have separated themselves from the middle pack and now sit at table with the cool kids. They have proven with this current four game winning streak that they are not a team to fuck with and will beat you one way or another. Last night, they took care of the Saints. The score says different, and the end of the game almost bit them in the ass, but regardless they still left with a W. The Saints tried, at least some of them did. Derek Carr was not playing well all game, but he started to pick it up in the fourth quarter. He drove New Orleans within just yards of the end zone and then threw a perfect pass to the corner in order to tie the game. Except he did not tie the game. Foster Moreau dropped the pass. And then they had a turnover on downs after that. Then they lost. Damn Saints, we just cannot get a proper read on you, huh? Well I saw enough after last night.

The Saints have some positives to their team. Those positives, at least from last night, were Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill. Taysom Hill is literally living every man's dream. He may have an official position now, but I would label his position as "football player". The dude does it all, and that included catching passes and rushing for a TD last night. Kamara now, he essentially was the offense last night. Whether he was running or taking a swing pass, I'm convinced he's 90% of the Saints offensive playbook. He does it all, and the Saints need him to win. Like I said, Derek Carr did not do well, mostly due to multiple miscommunications with his receivers. You can only have so many miscues before both parties are to blame for the constant fuck-ups. The Saints defense didn't look great either, especially on Christian Kirk's touchdown in the fourth. Buddy looked like he was on the red carpet, as every defender for the Saints was almost stepping aside in order to ensure that Christian Kirk made it there safely. It was kind of sweet of them. The Saints just need to do something. Like literally anything. They're either having the most boring game possible or choking in the final minutes. Their biggest rival is the New Orleans Saints.

Onto the Jaguars. They are good. Despite the fourth quarter performance last night, they controlled the rest of that game. Etienne literally walked on the field, scored his mandatory two touchdowns, and then left. That's how good he is. Trevor Lawrence was a beast both in the air and on the ground, actually taking the lead in rushing for his team last night. Christian Kirk was doing pretty well, as he is obligated to forever for inflating the receiver market. Ridley should apologize to Lawrence for whatever he did, because he's been gone since week one. The defense were really killing it, holding the Saints to only three field goals for three quarters. Oluokun was everywhere making plays, and the rest of the secondary did their part too. Having Trayvon Walker and Josh Allen seems like cheating too, with their ability to run around like safeties on the field. Doug Pederson has made a complete and contending team, and as of right now it's only looking up for Jacksonville.

New Orleans, it's time...
