We're diving in to the second half of the regular season. It sucks, but also for the most part we know where each team lies in regards to how good or bad they are. Which definitely helps, because now we don't have to waste our time watching games that have no meaning to us, we can just track them on Redzone while we watch the games that matter. I went 0-4 week 7 (the refs fucked me), so I took a weekend off to regroup. Now we're 3-7 and thank GOD this isn't my full-time job or I might be fucked. If I go 4-0 this weekend, I'll break even and we'll be alright. If not, I will blame the refs (we know the drill). Let's do this shit.
Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs: Is this a "legit" team the Dolphins beat?
Off to Germany for these guys (for some reason), and Germany might have itself a good matchup this year. The Dolphins need to prove they can actually beat good teams, and the Chiefs need to prove that they actually still are a good team. They probably are, but their offense needs to get on track. With Jalen Ramsey back for the Dolphins, Kansas City might have trouble doing so. Their defense took an L "letting Russ cook" last week, and it's not going to be easier with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle zooming across the field. Zone might be the answer this week. Miami also traveled to Germany early this week, while the Chiefs traveled on Friday. It seems like everything is going in the Dolphins' favor.
Final Score Prediction: Dolphins 24, Chiefs 20
Best GUESS Bet: Dolphins +1.5
Seattle Seahawks at Baltimore Ravens: Will Lamar be crowned king of the NFC?
Lamar Jackson is 17-1 against the NFC. That is fuckin impressive. An entire conference of teams can't beat one dude (except apparently Daniel Jones, lol). This game is also being played in Baltimore, where Lamar is undefeated (8-0) against NFC teams. This is an unfortunate circumstance for the Seahawks, who have honestly been playing really well so far this year. You can't deny at this point that Pete Carrol just makes good football teams. When you look at each team leader in passing, rushing and receiving it's all pretty close between them both. I see this game as being low-scoring with defenses deciding who comes out on top. Betting against Lamar in this situation, no matter the skill of the NFC team, would be a risk I don't think I'm willing to take. If the Seahawks do come out on top though, they'll be considered a top 5 team in the league.
Final Score Prediction: Ravens 23, Seahawks 17
Best GUESS Bet: Under 44.5
Cowboys at Eagles: Hurts is here this time, does it matter?
One of the greatest rivalries in the NFL. These two teams playing each other just screams FOOTBALL. I love it. Jalen Hurts will be attending this meeting, and Dak is coming off of a good game, so hopefully we can expect a lot of action this time. If Dak remembers to throw to CeeDee Lamb again, the Cowboys will have a lot of points. If Jalen keeps throwing to AJ Brown, the Eagles will have a lot of points. See? It doesn't take much for this game to take off. Dak is 8-3 against Philly, so Hurts is gonna have to show him that those wins aren't happening when he's in the seat. I also think Micah Parsons is going to do a front flip over the line or something to stop the brotherly shove, so look out for that tomorrow. It'll either be really cool or really funny, so it's a win-win. Tomorrow will tell us if the Eagles are just gonna keep winning, or if the Cowboys might've actually found some sort of footing this season. FOOTBALL.
Final Score Prediction: Eagles 38, Cowboys 31
Best GUESS Bet: Over 46.5
Bill at Bengals: The regular season rematch everyone will be watching
Oh fuck yeah, this is the game of the week. Bills vs Bengals, Josh vs Joe. Two teams that have had their struggles. Also, of course, last year's game with Damar Hamlin having to be rushed to the hospital after collapsing on the field and then the game being cancelled. Every ounce of emotion possible is going to be packed into this game. It seems like such a hero story too. The Bills come into town, Damar lines up in the secondary, the crowd is clapping because of the remarkable recovery he's made. Then football starts being played, and with every hero there has to be a villain. Joe Burrow unfortunately is forced into that role this week. I have to say, I'm rooting for the villain to win this one. The Bills have been way too up and down this year, and the Bengals are hitting their stride. Joe Cool absolutely dominated last week, making the 49ers his bitch for three hours. Josh Allen can hang with him there's no doubt, he just needs to be at his best. Burrow is knowing for having ice in his veins, and I think he's going to play that villain role beautifully Sunday night, crushing the comeback story of the Bills. Still, expect a close game, and a possible shootout if Josh Allen is on his game too. It's gonna be awesome.
Final Score Prediction: Bengals 31, Bills 28
Best GUESS Bet: Bengals -2.5
Ohhhhhh yeah ladies and gents, this is gonna be a good day of football tomorrow. I hope we're all ready. It's also my redemption arc, after the embarrassing performance two weeks ago. But we live and learn folks. Life goes on. And remember, when all else fails, it was those stupid fuckin refs. Let's have a Sunday!
